William Sanderson plays J F Sebastian, the genetic designer who works for Tyrell and plays chess with him. His friends are the botched replicant toys he makes, until Pris shows up at his front door. Later joined by Roy, these Nexus 6 replicants stay awhile before Roy uses JF to get to Tyrell. Poor JF is later found dead by the police.
